Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has more than 20 zones and each zone needs new candidate’s every year and RRB conducts group D exams to fulfill these vacancies for the different zones.

RRB Group D Exam Pattern – 2019

Before applying for the RRB exams, you should know the RRB examination pattern so that it’s easy for you to plan the preparation. There is three stage of this exam as:

  • Computer Based Test (CBT).
  • Physical Efficiency Test (PET).
  • Document Verification.

Now we will see the each of them in details, such as the total number of papers, marks, durations etc.

This section covers all the topics from the physics, chemistry, and biology of standard 10th basically.
General Awareness & Current Affairs
General awareness of current affairs in Science & Technology, Sports, Culture, Personalities, Economics, Politics, and any other subjects importance.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

If you qualify the Group D Computer Based Test then you will be called for a Physical Efficiency Test. PET will be qualifying in nature & twice the no. of category-wise vacancies will be called for this stage of selection.

 Male Candidates

  • You should be able to lift and carry 35 kg of weight for a distance of 100 meters in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down.
  • You should be able to run for a distance of 1000 meters in 4 minutes and 15 seconds in one chance.

 Female Candidates

  • You should be able to lift and carry 20 kg of weight for a distance of 100 meters in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down.
  • You should be able to run for a distance of 1000 meters in 5 minutes and 40 seconds in one chance.

Document Verification

  • Based on your performance in the CBT subject to your qualifying in PET, you will be called for document verification.
  • Your final selection will be made after you qualify all these 3 stages of selection.

RRB Group D Eligibility Criteria – 2019

 Nationality

Candidate must be a citizen of India.

 Age Limits & Relaxation

Candidates’ age must not be below 18 years nor it must be more than 33 years.

Widows, Divorced Women up to 35 years

 Educational Qualification

Candidate must possess 10th Standard or ITI or equivalent from a recognized Educational Institute/Board.
